Mentoring

At Inspire Network, our goal is to help play a part in releasing the best in our young adults. One of the greatest ways to do so is through mentoring – a focused, intentional relationship where a more mature and experienced person helps input into the life of a younger person, through the sharing of life, wisdom and experience.

We believe so much in you. You may sometimes think no one does, but at Inspire Network, we do. It is with this belief in mind that we are pleased to announce the launch of Empower, our Mentoring Program.

How do I sign up?

Please click here and complete the application form.

How does it work?

In order to be effective, we can only accept about 4 mentees per mentor. When you sign up, you will be assigned to a mentor for a period of 6 months. During this period, we will organize a few formal sessions where you will meet your mentor with the others assigned to the same mentor.

In addition you can personally arrange catch-ups with your mentor, depending on availability, or you can keep in touch via Skype, email, mobile and SMS. The most important thing that makes mentoring work is openness and willingness to share. Your mentors will generously share their life and experience with you.

What happens after I sign up?

We will allow some time for all the registrations to come in and take some time to sort through the logistics of the program. We may need to contact you for more details or to understand more from you.

Thereafter we will contact you to inform you if there are still slots left and follow up on the initial meeting with your mentor and group.

How will the formal meetings be like?

“Formal” is an overstatement really. It just means that we help to organize that. It will likely happen in an informal setting such as over lunch, dinner or coffee. It’s really all about creating opportunities for you to have deeper conversations about life with your mentors.

Who are the mentors?

We currently have two very established and successful professionals who have volunteered to be mentors. They are Mr Jon Mason and Mr Glenn Seah. They have both been guest speakers at our Inspire Network seminars previously. You may see their bios here. We hope to keep bringing in more mentors if this initial program run is successful.

How much do I have to pay for this?

Nothing! It is absolutely free. It costs a lot of time, effort and commitment from our mentors but we are all happy to do this. Why? Because we believe in you!

What’s my commitment in this?

We just ask that you make the best use of the time with your mentors. Also do make yourself available for each of the formal sessions. If you can’t commit do let us know so we can offer the space to a new mentee. Come prepared with questions and just be open to share and listen.
