“When I was a little girl, I asked my mummy what would I be? Will I pretty, I will be rich? Here’s what she said to me”
No doubt many, if not all of us wondered what we would be when we grew up. And perhaps few of us are employed as how our much younger selves might have imagined! In fact one article from 2012 claimed that 2/3 of people were “not happy at work”!
If this is something you’ve thought about, perhaps Jon can help to give some insights at our upcoming event.
Titled “Where is my talent?”, Jon opinies that many people find major life guidance in their exam grades from school or university, only to discover that this is not a very sustainable way to plan a life. Jon will draw on the work he does with high performing MNC teams to talk about where your talent is really to be found, and what you might need to do in order to see it flourish.
Jon is CEO and Principal Consultant of Elaura, a business helping MNCs to map and manage their talent, as well as founder of hoozyu, a programme helping young people to understand themselves better and make more sustainable life and career choices. Jon’s current clients include Coca Cola, Shell, DBS, RBS and Visa. He is from NZ, married to an English wife and with 4 children, born in Old South Wales, New South Wales (2) and Singapore.
So if this interests you, sign up for it here. It’s entirely free but the content will no doubt be invaluable in helping you shape how you think about your career.
